What we teach

Our programs focus on four key areas to help people learn, grow, and thrive:

  • Digital Foundations – Navigating devices, apps, and the online world
  • 21st-Century Skills – Coding, AI, data literacy, and emerging tech
  • Creative & Career Exploration – Digital art, music production, storytelling, and entrepreneurship
  • Human Power Skills – Critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration

At our Hives, through workshops, camps, and classes, we create space and opportunity for people to learn in ways that work for them. We listen, adapt, and evolve to meet community needs, ensuring our programs stay relevant and impactful.

Staying Safe Online

STAYING SAFE ONLINE

Technology brings opportunity, but also risks. IDIA is intentional about online safety and ensures cybersecurity is part of every program.

We teach:

  • Password security – Creating strong passwords and using two-factor authentication
  • Avoiding scams and fraud – Spotting phishing attempts and online threats
  • Combating misinformation – Identifying and verifying reliable sources

5 simple steps to keep yourself safe online:

1. Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
2. Keep software and devices updated to prevent security risks.
3. Avoid suspicious links, emails, and attachments from unknown sources.
4. Limit personal information shared online and check privacy settings.
5. Use secure connections like a VPN on public WiFi.
